12 Months of Nature: The 2019 Happier Place Calendar

2019 Happier Place Calendar cover and January showing Colorado

The 2019 Happier Place Calendar is here to inspire all year long to take a break, go outside and have fun. The 12-month wall calendar features beautiful nature destinations from around the world.

Each photo and calendar page is printed on #100 high-quality paper and measures 8.5 x 11 inches. This makes the calendar 17 x 11 inches large when unfolded, with a white loop in the middle.

The calendar is currently available in gloss and in matte. If you have a preference, please let us know via a note during check out. By default we will send out the gloss calendar.

Just like last year’s calendar, the 2019 Happier Place Calendar also features some of our most popular inspiring quotes, like “Do more of what makes you happier.” and “Be kind. Be brave. Be happier.” and “Stop. Look. Appreciate.

Each month celebrates a wilderness landscape (like mountain vistas and ocean views) or reveals a green oasis in the middle of big cities (like NYC and Berlin). The photos were taken by Luci Westphal in Brazil, Colorado, Florida, Germany, New York, New Mexico, Spain, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

  1. I want to go to all of these places!! They are absolutely stunning. How grateful we are to be alive to witness such beauty!

    1. Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Tamala. I’m indeed so grateful that I did get to see and photograph all these beautiful places.

  2. I must confess that I seldom if ever use a desk calendar even though I receive a few from various sources every year. I often do however love to buy them myself for the beautiful photos of nature or animal and this one has some fabulous shots.

    1. That’s a great compliment. It’s true, not all calendars are created equal – and I hope that ours is attractive to people because of the photography. Thank you so much, Razena.

  3. OMG, all the pictures are amazing and make feel like traveling to those wonderful places. I have to add Colorado to my list. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yay! Love the idea of my photos of these awesome places might inspire your travels. Colorado is definitely worth a visit!

  4. The last image showing greenery outside the window is just awesome. I always prefer natural jungle over concrete one. Thanks for sharing this nice article.

    1. Thrilled you like that last image. It’s an older one – and I wasn’t sure if I should feature it. But it’s a personal favorite that quite clearly says: there’s beauty to be found outside. The abandoned building was one of many little garden houses in Berlin, which by now have all be torn down to build an Autobahn exit. Concrete won over “jungle” there.

  5. Yes, your image of Mesa Arch speaks to me because my family and I have spent time hiking in Canyonlands as well as Arches National Park in Utah. I prefer wilderness, beach, and space images over cityscapes.

    1. Oh, how cool that you’ve also hiked Canyonlands and Arches. Those places are incredible. Want to explore a lot more of Utah. Not sure if you saw it, but we’ve published a whole post about Canyonlands (with more of my photos): https://happier.place/canyonlands/
Thanks a lot for your comment, Gill.
      xx Luci

    1. Thank you so much. Good thing you don’t have to choose but can enjoy it all!

  7. What a pretty calendar! That will really motivate people to go and see the world. I want to have that hanging on the wall above my work desk at home!

    1. Thank you so much, Kristine! We really hope it will do exactly that. And having the Happier Place calendar hang above your desk is the perfect place to remind you to “Take a break. Go outside. Have fun.”
      xx Luci
